Sistersnacking LLC runs this site. This page explains exactly what we collect and what we do with it. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, send what you asked for, and give you what you bought. We don’t sell your personal information.

What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address, and a securely hashed password — or, if you use Google sign-in, the basic profile Google shares with us. We never see your Google password.
  • Things you send us. Anything you type into our contact form, newsletter signup or other forms on the site, including your name and email.
  • Purchases. What you bought, when, the amount, and the email tied to the order. Card payments run through Stripe — your card number never touches our systems.
  • Basic technical data. Standard server logs and error reports (such as IP address and browser type) used to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

To create and secure your account, deliver the Index and any guides you bought, answer your messages, send Index update emails and our newsletter if you asked for them, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep our records for tax and accounting. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the site: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments, our email delivery provider for account and newsletter emails, Google if you choose Google sign-in, and map tile providers to display maps. Each handles your data on our behalf. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We don’t run advertising trackers.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it — this never removes access to something you bought. You can see and update your account details, and permanently delete your account, from your account page. Deleting removes your login and your access records; we keep a minimal, anonymized record of past orders for accounting, with your name and email stripped out.

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under the CCPA), you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, or object to certain uses. Ask us and we’ll take care of it.

Keeping it safe

Data is stored with reputable providers, encrypted in transit, and access is limited to the people who run the site. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Our site isn’t intended for children under 13.
