Top 10 CT Lobster Rolls
You butter believe these lobster rolls are good.
We think Connecticut-style hot-butter lobster rolls are, hands down, the best kind of lobster rolls. Here are our Sistersnacking-approved, top 10 lobster rolls in our home state of Connecticut (and no, we swear we are not biased!).
Top 10:
1. Liv’s Shack (Old Saybrook) $28 for 1/4 lb roll & $55 for 1/2 lb roll
After trying Liv’s Shack in Old Saybrook this summer, we can confidently say that this is our favorite lobster roll in Connecticut. The buttered roll and sherry butter make it a true standout.

2. Lobster Landing (Clinton) $30 for 1/4 roll & $59 for 1/2 lb roll
Lobster Landing in Clinton has always been one of our top picks for lobster rolls. We love this no-frills shack and how they pile their tender meat high on a toasty bun, which is made even better when dipped in bisque! Check out our full review here!

3. Rowayton Seafood (Norwalk) $38 for a roll
At number three, we have the sleekest roll of them all, Rowayton Seafood in Norwalk. They have an incredible menu, and we recommend that you sit on the rails in the back. Our full review can be found here!
4. Haring’s Noank (Noank) $32 for 1/4 lb roll & $59 for 1/2 lb roll
New to the scene and beautifully located on the water, Haring’s Noank has taken over the former Ford’s Lobster space and revamped it to create a new seafood shack-inspired restaurant. Do not miss the lobster bisque piled high with lobster meat and a cheddar biscuit!

5. The Inishshor (Colchester) $36 for a roll
The Inishshor has been named the top lobster roll in Connecticut, which is surprising given that it is not even on the shore. But we were very impressed by both their hot and cold rolls. Our full review is here!
6. Guilford Lobster Pound (Guilford) $26 for 1/4 lb roll
Simplicity is what you will find at Guilford Lobster Pound, but they do get a little creative with their lobster grilled cheese, which is 100% worth trying!

7. Abbott’s Lobster in the Rough (Noank) $23 for 1/4 roll & $66 for 1 lb roll
Founded in 1947, Abbott’s Lobster in the Rough serves their lobster piled high on a hamburger roll. They also have a beautiful waterfront view. Watch this to see why we think Abbott’s Lobster in the Rough is iconic, and not overrated.
8. Lenny & Joe’s/Bill’s Seafood (Westbrook) $31 for a roll
Both Lenny & Joe’s and Bill’s Seafood are nostalgic spots for us because we grew up going to Water’s Edge. Located in Westbrook, both are reliable, traditional, and delicious!
9. Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock (New London) $30 for a roll
If you are heading down to New London, locals will tell you that Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock is the place—and we agree. They sell a massive fried seafood spread that pairs so well with their classic lobster roll.

10. Harry’s Place (Colchester) $30 for a roll
Harry’s Place has been around for over 100 years, and while this shack is known for its mini hamburgers, they also make a killer roll that is best served with buttery lobster on top. Watch this to see why we think Harry’s Place is iconic, and not overrated.
